Raising children can be viewed as a spiritual practice. Within that context, each of us, children and adults alike, are Divine Beings having a "human experience". We are all doing the best we can to meet our needs as humans. Throughout our journey as parents, we will make mistakes which can be viewed as opportunities to learn and grow, potentially coming to a place of acceptance and compassion. There isn't a correct or an incorrect way to parent. There is no "prescription" for dealing with the challenges we face as parents.
What can assist us is:
By far, our relationship with our children is most impacted by who we are inside of our Selves. When our hearts are awakened to our own inner capacity for unconditional loving, compassion, and acceptance, our connection with our children is profoundly transformed. How we relate to the challenging issues while raising children, is the most important issue.
